Visual Interface: Setup

Users must connect to an existing PostgreSQL database instance before being able to use the interface. The setup view is opened via Edit Settings in the upper-right corner of the interface.

Configuration Parameters

The following parameters must be set to use samtSQL on an existing cloud database:

Database name: the name of the PostgreSQL database.
Host: host URL of the PostgreSQL database instance.
Port: the port of the PostgreSQL database server.
User: name of a user that can log into the database.
Password: password for the user above.

To avoid re-entering settings at each log in, make sure that the box Remember on this device is checked.
